Skinny jeans, nude wedges, lace and a statement necklace

Today I rushed off to drop off a dress that my kitty had ripped and my 'bandage' skirt that was coming apart at Mom for mending.  When I got home I showered, dressed and then had two phone calls.  The day just slipped by in a blur.

I had no intention of doing much else outside the house today so I kept it rather casual.

THE DAY PLAN: Today is Courteneys' 17th birthday.  We called this afternoon but had missed her as she's already left for schoool, so the boys and I send her a voicenote over Whatapps where we sang - we sounded horrid ... lol.  

Yet again my day got sidetracked and I did not quite achieve what I had set out to achieve, so tomorrow I'm under some self imposed stress.  Its been a week of unexpected distractions and I'm just not getting to what I need to get to.  I don't know if anyone feels it, but the days sure slip by quickly.

I ended up going around trying to the find the items needed for a school project that Liam has to do which is to create an electric parallel circuit - from searching everywhere I thought it could be, to going to the stores and driving around trying find other options - I came back empty handed, but luckily Schatz found one.

This evening we had lovely chicken and avo wraps for dinner.  I bought the multigrain wraps from Woolworths and roasted a chicken.  Oh my, it was so good.  I think we'll have some for lunch tomorrow as well.

Well, my evening is now over and I must head to bed - hope your day was wonderful friends.

Casual Friday

Fridays look featured my new statement necklace.  I love it.

I bought this jacket at Fashion Express last weekend and was so eager to wear it.  I love how this look came together as it looked casual but polished.

The photographer this morning is our domestic worker Felicia.  The kids were all still in bed and schatz had headed to bathroom, so she was enlisted to do the honours.

Today a collegue left!  She's off to USA for a holiday and then moving to Australia.  It was hard in a sense to say goodbye, although we are not close, we connected.  Many more of my collegues are going on leave today as well.

I needed the happiness of this coral top today.

Hope your Friday is fantastic - our 'holiday' from the kids starts today as their father arrived last night ... we can run around the house naked now ... lol.

Casual skinnies with a peplum on the weekend

Today we decided to finally go and visit Arts on Main ... I've been wanting to go there on the weekend after being taken there for lunch last year on Secretaries Day.

 

Finally, we went.  I saw some lovely items and came away with some cool ideas to make for the house.  There are a few items I'm considering returning for ... but I'll mull it over a little longer. 

 

There was an interesting array of food on offer and many colourful characters about.  Schatz and I both love old buildings, so the architecture really appealed to us and we enjoyed the display that was on at Goethe on Main.

As you can see I'm desperately in need of a cut (the clipped up hair more that twice in a week is a big telltale sign).  My hairdresser has been on leave the past week, so I can't wait to see her this week.  I'm now wondering what to do with it ...maybe something like this

 

 

or ... ?? not sure, but I'll come up with something, worst case, I'll just get it trimmed.  But in the back of my mind, I seem to stuck on a style go round.  Suggestions?

Last Fridays outfit - 27th May

I really am that far behind, but here I am real quick ... last Friday's outfit ... similar to the one below, just a different shirt from when I wore the other elements, I do think this styling worked way better .. must be that the bow and necklace gave it more balance.

Casual Sunday

This morning, the first thing I did was download my photos from our outing yesterday.  I was too pooped last night to even consider coming upstairs to do so.  The sun of course is setting much earlier, and it's having a horrid effect on me.  My clock is outta sorts.  I also uploaded photos to facebook so that their Dad and sister overseas could see.

I also spent some time working on the layout I've been busy with since Friday - it's almost done, just putting on the finishing touches.

The morning ran away and while G-man and Richie were out riding their bikes, the kids and I popped down to the Flea Market for Missy to get base and then to Woolies for some food.

My outfit is simple ... Jeans and t-shirt - Woolies | Boots and cardigan - Truworths

No jewellery, no fiddling.

Hair trim & Fridays Look

Yesterday afternoon G-man and I met at the coffee shop after work, which is a little ritual we try to do often before facing my kiddies and the weekend.  We then toddled off to Woolworths to get dinner goods and I thought I'd try my luck and see if my hairdresser had time to cut my hair.  I got an appointment for 10am today.  She blow dried my hair straight and Courteney thought it looked fab.  I don't say much about my hair until I style it for the first time myself after a cut - then I decide, so for the time being, I think it looks fine - tomorrow I'll know if I love or hate it ;-).  Its much the same - just neatened up and trimmed a little.

Next time, I think I need to wear a shorter necklace.

Our little blue eyed kitty is sick - the vet is not sure what's wrong with her.  She starting throwing up on Thursday and this morning, not looking any better, Graeme took her to the vet.  The vet she's not been poisioned, but it seems there's something wrong in her brain.  He's given her an anti-biotic and anti-inflammatory shot.  I don't want to even deal with this after Baron being put down two weekends ago.  I just hope she's going to be okay :-(.

I'm working on tidying up in my scrapbook area - already cleared a basket that's been hanging about since December - oh my work, almost 4 months (in fact, I should be studying, but the brain refuses to co-operate).  It's become unbearable here - so back to work I go ... possibly house share photos later.
