Red 'n white

Red and white ... for Christmas
Top : Woolworths
Pants : Woolworths
Belt : Foschini
Shoes : ShoeCity
Necklace : Foschini

I'm celebrating ... its the last work day of the year for me ... don't be fooled, I'll work much harder at home, but at least I'm the 'boss' there ...lol.

Jodi has not photobombed for a while so it was cute when she joined us this morning ... just getting her to stop scratching was a bit of a mission.  She really smiles at me when she sits in front of me like this.  So cute she is ... but she's getting old now and battling to stand up quickly.  I find it so sad.

Now as its the home stretch, let me finish tidying my desk and office and all the bits I need to get done ... have a super day now.

Navy and white

White denim capris and navy
Top : Truworths
Capris : Woolworths
Shoes : ShoeCity
Earrings : From somewhere in the States
Rings : Truworths
Watch : Fossil

Althought its not noticeable, I did pop past my hairdresser yesterday and she agreed that the back of my hair was not cut correctly and then fixed it for me.  I'm feeling far happier about my hair now.  Today I wanted to keep with the casual office look as I'm really ready for the office to close.

Last night we went to Mugg and Bean for me to have dinner as Schatz had indulged in a Lamb Shank for lunch and I was hungry.  I ordered Chicken Schnitzel, however they fried it for about 2 minutes too long ... the topping was interesting however, I was quite disappointed with the chicken ... after dinner we headed off to my sister Noleen to drop off an order for her daughter-in-law and then we passed by Lynn to deliver her order.  Richard had us in stitches telling us stories.  I so enjoy a good belly laugh.

I also got to see the Vow Renewal album Lynn is working on and was wowed by the photographs ... lol ... honestly, seeing them printed made an incredible difference and I am inspired by my own work and fired up to keep learning and improving my skills.  I've been a little unsure of myself and turned down an exciting opportunity due to lack of self belief but after seeing what I produced and that the photos have had the mininal amount of editing done I think I may well have a gift/capability.

I'm so looking forward to photographing my children real soon ... can hardly wait.

Hope your Thursday is absolutely fabulous and to all those retail staffers who are working through the Christmas season ... thank you for your sacrifice, I appreciate it.

Have a happy day now and do stop by the guestbook and let me know you came by ... at Simply Sassy we love love love comments and commentors.

High-low on Friday

Dress : Mr. Price
Cardi : Fashion Express
Belt : Meltz
Shoes : Shoe City
Bracelets : Various
Necklace : Miladys
Ring : Truworths
Shades : Ray Ban

I opted not to wear my usual jeans/capris this fine Friday morning.  Schatz mentioned as he was readying himself to leave that the temp is expected to reach around 30 Degrees celcius ... so I wanted cool, flowing and free form.

I haven't been so happy to reach Friday in ages.  Its been a long three weeks.

Tomorrow I'm having breakfast with the Justine Cosmetics team ... I haven't seen them in about 3 years and to be honest, I don't know what my Business Leader looks like.  Then the evening we're having dinner for my Schatz and brother-in-law Gordon as it's both their birthdays.  Sadly I'm not able to go with Schatz on the run to Zimbanathi Project tomorrow, but my little guy Liam will be going with which will be good for him to see how far less priveledged children live.

Today marks Jarods last day at Primary School.  A teacher took a photo of us together but sadly its blurred :-(.

This dress has made at least two previous appearance on the blog : Once with red and another time also with blue.

Fuschia inspired (not intentionally though)

Shocking pink and purple ... matching my Fuschias
Skirt : Mr. Price
Top : Foschini
Shoes : Brand - Unreal | Store : Shoe City
Necklace and bracelet - Truworths
Ring : Mr. Price (a gift from my son Jarod)

The skirt worn peviously ... I see it was also with a tie-front t-shirt ... I think I'm quite liking the tie-front trend.

I feel pretty and blooming in these bright colours.  As I looked down at the Fuschia in the pot to my left, I realised I was wearing the same colours as my plant.  I absolutely adore Fuschias, to the point that I have about 12 plants in pots around my house (not as extreme as some people I know).  I am especially fond of doubles.  My love for them is spilling over onto my son Jarod who has two of his own that he looks after.

These shoes were bought to replace the pair I was wearing yesterday as driving had 'eaten' the area just above the heel.  I've now started wearing shoes just for driving ... I've messed up quite a few pairs of shoes and I'm not happy about that and I have no one to blame but myself.

How is your Christmas shopping going?  I first need to get Schatzies birthday present and my sister Normas ... and I have no idea what my children are wanting.  I know Jarod is saving for a Xbox and Courts was a push up bikini ... Liam - well he says he has everything he wants, at 12!

Whats on your Christmas wish list?

Mine looks something like this :
Nikon 70-200 mm lens
Cover my chair seat ... still needing to get it done.

Thats about it ... whats wrong with me? lol ... oh wait, nothing wrong, I'm just truly blessed.

Thanks for visiting and reading and commenting on my 'life' - I appreciate it.

How I look after work and a facial

... so don't run away to the hills screaming!  But I have not a stitch of makeup on and I clipped my hair up due to the heat, but decided that since I did not take OOTD pics for ages, I thought I'd best get one quickly before I melt in this heat.

My 'go to' grey skirt made an appearance.  Last night, it was hot here and I just did not have the energy to get into my wardrobe and haul something out, least of all since I knew it would probably need to be ironed first.  So this morning, the first thing I saw was my 'go to'.

I dashed off to Placecol for a facial straight after work, so I have zero make up on, but I feel all shiney and pretty after my facial.  I love having a facial.  Next thing I urgently need to get done is a haircut and colour.

On Sunday I treated my sisters to High Tea at River Meadow Manor.  I'd found the offer on Groupon and when I saw it, I had to purchase it for us.  It was gorgeous.  The venue is so beautiful and the setting of said venue is so tranquil.  The tea was wonderful ... especially their savoury tart and chocolate brownies.  The main 'house' transported me back to my childhood and what I'll always think of as 'home', my grandmothers house in Glenwood, Durban.  The rooms in the house are so beautiful and the lounge and dining room look amazing.  I'd so love to spend a romantic weekend there.

Not much other news from my little spot ... 'til next time
