Red - two days in a row

Navy and red
Red, Navy and Tan

Skirt, blazer & t-shirt : Truworths
Shoes : Edgars
Belt : Legit
Watch : Fossil

This was totally unintentional ... and I'm going to blame the season, oh heck, I'll be honest, by the morning I seldomly remember what I wore the day before.  Despite putting a reminder on my phone last night, I did not get my outfit ready so I had to decide this morning what I was going to wear.

I am thrilled that I finally found an OBI Belt that was not crazy expensive and fit me and that I like the colour of.  On Saturday when Courts and I were at The Glen we popped into Legit as I often find cute items for both of us there.  I first found a lovely 'shade of blue shirt' and as I was standing at the till I looked to my right and thre were OBI belts ... I checked and luckily found the only Large on the rail and snapped it up ... but the thrilling part was that both items were marked down by over 50% ... S.C.O.R.E.!  The belt was all of R29.99 and the shirt was down from R129.99 to R49.99.

I was looking for something to wear the belt with and this morning as after I'd decided on the skirt and jacket I saw the red t-shirt and thought it would go great with the brown belt and brown shoes.

I've been thinking about creating a 'clothing catalogue' of my clothing so that I wear things more often.  I often forget what I have in my closet and that's just wrong ... it almost means I have way too many items of clothing.  I think I am going to make this a bit of a priority and that way I could possibly mark how often I've worn something and if I have a quick visual of the items in the closet will wear them more often.  Any suggestions?

Blogger inspiration ... denim and red ... thanks Bessie

On Tuesday evening as I was hopping around the blogs reading and enjoy all the gorgeous stylish ladies, I visited Bessie and saw this outfit.  Ah, the light bulb went off, I can create this outfit without a problem.  Only thing, I don't have such a thick belt, so I went with my snakeskin belt and shoes.  Since it's Spring here, I did not wear hose.   I added my royal blue set of bracelets bought a couple weeks back - I am so smitten with this colour at the moment.

The usual photo bomber ... she loves posing

Tiara tantrums

On my way home from work, I stopped at a Costume Store in the hope that they'd have the goodies Miss Boo has requested for her birthday - at her school, the birthday girl wears a tiara, sash and a bunny tail ... well, I found a little tiara but none of the items she's asking for.
Drama boy

Then I grabbed Liam and he's so dramatic, you'd think I were shaving his hair off ... silly boy.

I can't wait for my hairdresser to get back to work.  I'm desperate for a cut.  I could not get time before she went on leave and now it feels like its been months.  Its one of those strange things in life, one day your hair is fine, suddenly the next the style just seems to leave.  I'll never understand it.

Hope your Thursday was fabulous.

Colour blocking?

 Skirt : Miladys (altered)
Top : Truworths
Shoes : Kelso at Edgars
Bangles : Edgars, Truworths, Mr. Price

If you're a 'style/fashion blogger', have you found that you're way more daring in some respects than you were before you started blogging?  I have always had a 'shoe fetish' and love shoes with interesting details, high heels and extras to them.  But as for the clothing, I'd wear something 'zhoosh', but mostly toned down.  However, I don't think that before feeling challenged and empowered by this community, I'd have ventured out wearing the colour combination I did today.  It would have been one or the other, with cream, white or black, but unlikely to have shown up together on my body.

I'm really challenged on what to wear tomorrow - could you pop on over and throw a couple of outfits together for me?

Hope y'all had a fabulous day ... til next time,
Keep it Simply Sassy
