Tuesdays Terrific Trio #1

 My Tuesday Teriffic Trio of pictures featuring things that made my day fabulous.

Flat pumps = because I finally went to the podiatrist and not sure what the outcome would be, I wore

flats … why I put it off so long I really can’t explain … heaven … I’m wearing heels tomorrow.

Love this coffee but only get to drink it when it comes as a free gift in the local mags.

This months O-Magazine had a little box with F.O.U.R sachets in it … looking forward to getting to the office tomorrow.

Love this moisturiser and was thirlled to find they had it in this little tube for my handbag … baby powder in

liquid form.   Soft and easily absorbed … this is my favourite!

Two new blogs to share

We have a cold front moving in for the weekend and its looks rather grey and miserable outside.

Perfect weather for a good book or DVD under the covers with hot chocolate.

I took pictures with my new phone yesterday and last night, but could not find how to download them onto my pc. 

I have found the old photos, but for the life of me can’t find the latest.

I wanted to share the pics of my stylish colleague who looks phenomenal at 65 and was rocking a fabulous black and red outfit yesterday.

Hopefully I’ll find them this evening.

What a Monday ... worse when you've been off on Friday.  I am better, but not 100% yet.  Tomorrow my G-man is going in for a scope on his knee.  I'll need to leave work at 13:00 to take him down to the hospital. 

I have a new phone and have been trying to figure out how to download the photos I took earlier ... I can find all kinds of photos, except the ones I took this evening ... sigh.  Guess my head is really not working too well.  Now I can't figure out how to use Instagram ... after playing with it for ages yesterday ... lol.

After much effort, picture above using Instagram ... I'll get it eventually.

Now i'm going to sleep and try and clear my head ... hope yur day was awesome.

Snuggled in bed ...

feeling cruddy with a throat infection, sore ears and now a cough ... but sleep is not possible between the dog yipping outside at who knows what, the crackling of the veld fire, the banging and clanging and whine of the vacuum cleaner ...at least the two cats and dog are resting well around me.  My big ginger Lucky is on my slippers ... little Bobbi is under the blanket near my feet and Ticky is on the other corner of the bed ... almost wish I were an animal and able to sleep through this racket.

I don’t know about you, but at times I do sorta forget and get a little caught up in what everyone else is doing.  I then give myself a good swift, hard kick in the hiney (you gotta see it to believe it) and get myself back on my own beat.

Black 'n white stripes and another hit of coral

Its been getting decidedly colder and darker here, making outdoor photos a bit of a mission. So my last two instalments were both taken indoors. I guess its time to sort out my indoor studio once again for the cold nights. But winter has been slow in arriving here in Jo'burg this year. Today it is really cold and despite sitting with my warm winter gown on, the gas heater 2 metres away, my fingers are f.f.f.freezing.

Peplum and lace wishes

I love peplums!  When they were 'in style' in the early 90's. I had a beautiful soft pink suit and the jacket was a peplum ... I wore that suit to marry my ex however there are no photos.  We slipped off on a Friday afternoon and only a handful of people knew what we going to do.  I wish we'd at least taken a picture of two.

Back to present day - I really like the look of the black peplum top and will definitely take a peep at it when it arrives in stores.  Foschini has of the nicest work wear.

Wardrobe basics

No matter the year, the basics seem to make their way into the lists over and over.  I have a number of basic items I'm still looking for, namely

• a denim jacket
• a v-neck cashmere cardigan
• diamond stud earrings
• real pearls (I have freshwater pearls but would love a string the real deal ones)
• black cigarette pants
• a shirtdress
