The days of uncertain weather

Autumn snuck up on us .. its been toying with us with promising of cooler weather but today, the temperatures started dropping.  Since our offices were like an oven yesterday I thought I'd get away with a last stab at Summer outfit.

Contempo
I went to do my vitamin shopping after work yesterday and had to pop into my favourite stores across the way from Dischem.  There were some interesting bits about and I behaved and picked up this set of bracelets at Contempo.   There were some interesting items in the store and I managed to behave and not bring anything else home with me ... but it was difficult.
There are such pretty knits, jeans and jackets in the stores.  With winter nipping at our heels, the stores will be doing serious winter trade this weekend.  I'm glad I've washed my coats and jackets and am as prepared for the cold as I can be.

Stripes, denim and animal

Top : Daniel Hechter at Truworths
Capris : Meltz
Denim Jacket : Styled with you in mind
Shoes : Rage

Can you see ... there's no sparkle or Christmas cheer on my face :-(.  I'm dealing with the remnants of what feels like it was a 24 hour flu and now have terrible lower back ache which I think is caused from vegitating on the couch for about 8 hours.  Me not a happy smiley camper but I'm at work all the same as its the last few days before I go on leave for a whole three weeks from Friday.

Graeme painted Jarod's bedroom this weekend.  One wall is painted in black chalkboard paint and the others are in grey.  He was super happy when he saw it on Sunday.

The little people have now gone off on holiday with their dad to Nelspruit.  Its just us two ol' souls and the crazy animals at home.

Hope your weekend was super awesome ... although its Tuesday, with yesterday being a holiday it feels like a Monday but the traffic was a dream as many people started their leave this week.

Let me get things done ...enjoy your day and its a week of shopping left to Christmas.

Capris again ... with grey lace and a birthday

The birthday boy and I

The birthday boy, the lil guy and I
My older son Jarod turned 14 today.  I am quite amazed that time has passed so quickly.  Jarod was a challenge for me as a young boy ... he tends to live in his own world at times and I battled to relate to him.  But as he has matured, he has grown in to such a gentle, caring soul with an rather interesting sense of humour.  He seems to float through the issues thanks to anger management training.  He loves to write stories and cook and bake.  I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he became a chef.

Bangles and beads - don't remember

As you can tell, I'm hooked on these capris.

Todays pair I paired with a grey tank and a grey lace top over.  Kept it all fairly minimal and added alittle excitement with my leopard print kitten heels.

We handed over the goods our office collected for Toy Run today - 8 big boxes all filled up.  Schatz is on his way to the end venue with them.

Tonight we're having my sisters over for dessert to celebrate Jazz's birthday and tomorrow I have some errands to run, then Sunday is Toy Run and Brads 2nd birthday - all in all, a busy few days.

Thanks for visiting ... catch y'all again real soon.

Teal Capris with a lace blazer

Teal Capris, Lace Blazer, Sandals
Top : Truworths
Pants : Woolworths
Blazer : Noblewear from a chinese store
Shoes : Legit (Similar availalbe at Shoe City)

Bangles : Various

I am so taken with the white capris I bought that I indulged in a teal and red pair as well.

I went through 4 different options of tops to wear under the lace blazer and for the first time, I wished it were 15 cms longer this morning.  I first tried a tank with a gold sequence design, then a grey spaghetti strapped top before settling on this dusty pink with rose border top.  Although our work environment is fairly casual, I always feel a little awkward if my shoulders are exposed - yes, very old school I guess.  I'm also of the opinion that unless your have arms that look like Michelle Obamas or Regina Kings, you need to rethink it twice.

My hairdresser is having a special until the end of the year, colour, cut and blow with an option of a R100 top up of 6 foils for R500 ... since my hair is going to need a little neatening, I may indulge in the foils - I'm thinking Summer holiday - time for a little lightening around the face.

Well, its off to an interesting start at our office today - so let me get on with the day.

Hope yours is fabulous.
