Since the children went off with their dad to visit their Grandpa, we decided to go out for dinner last night.  We opted for Eastgate as we had not been there in ages.  What a scary, disappointing experience.  The type of people roaming about were rather frightening and the dinner at Smith and Wolensky was disappointing.  Firstly, their table cloths and napkins were disgusting and if there's something that really disappoints me, it is when an upmarket restaurant serves 'oven chips'.  When I go to McDonalds or Wimpy, it's acceptable, but at a 'proper' restaurant, it's ueber disappointing.  We decided that we'd not be going back, and for me it's sad because it's one of the restaurants I really enjoyed going to every once in a while.

But on the upside, Schatz spoilt me with the black boots worn today I(I love the cut out design at the top) and another pair of high heeled hiking type 'boots' ... he fell in love with them when he saw them ... and what was even better, were the prices.  Perconi at Eastgate - get there - they have awesome boots on special!

We checked out quite a few stores as I am STILL on the hunt for a red belt, still no luck though.

Today we went and got the scuff plates for my car.  I'm so glad they finally got stock.  We also ordered head light protectors and a bonet protector.  Just some little things to help keep my cute little car 'chip' free as much as possible.  I also said I'd like to buy a set of the mats to keep as spare for when the current set give notice.

Schatz then headed off to go to the 1000 bike show with Pastor John and I headed to The Glen.  I got him some white t's and another pj pants and then went through all the stores in the hope of finding some summer dresses for Mz T.  She asked me to try and find her some handkerchief dresses!  I found one in Foschini but the design and colour was horrid.  I still have a week and a half to see if I can find some.

All the sales were very tempting and tested my resilience ... I was seduced by a cheap top in Ackermans and two belts in Mr. Price.

Well, it's snuggle time now ... hope y'all are having a fabulous weekend.

  1. Nice outfits. I especially like the brown pants in the first one and the black boots.

We're having a holiday this weekend for the 4th of July (the American Independence Day) and Canadians celebrated Canada Day yesterday. Does South Africa have an Independence Day or something similar? Or any excuse to take a day off work and grill up some hamburgers?
