Just chatting ...

Not much news-worthy gossip to put in here ... had a very quiet weekend, spent Sunday afternoon sleeping and still feel tired, despite going to bed early-ish last night.
Friday evening we watched DVDs and had the little one's all upset as the language was a bit rough, so they were bitchin 'n moaning about being sent out the lounge.
Saturday i finally got the garage tidied out!!! Hallelujah! At last, tossed out plenty more junk but brought my teddies in and now don't know what to do with them? My sister came by to pick up an order and then my friend Linda stopped by for a little visit.
G-man put my wardrobe door back on for me and I'm so thrilled about that - it's been off for months and it was getting on my nerves.
Sunday was spent at home ... so nice 'n relaxing ... kids swam, my nephew came over to play, G-man and Patrick stayed for dinner ... and it was good.
We were watching a DVD last nite and the phone rang, Miss T answers the call, had a quick chat and then hands me the phone ... as usual, I mouth to her asking who's on the phone and she gives me the eye roll and says 'dad'. She then hands me the phone!
So it's chitty chat 'n all friendly - it's the usual when the new wife is out of the house ... had a strange feeling that he was lonely ... he's all friendly, told me he'd transferred the maintenance and looked the photos I'd put up on Facebook, and said he's seen my new boyfriend and oh, what's his name again, and oh he looks like he's a big fella (6'5 he is, yeah he's tall) and then suddenly asks if he's there, oh right next to me I say, and suddenly he says okay bye. Weird! Why does he always be ultra friendly when the wife isn't there, but is cool and aloof when she is.
Now if I could just get the kids to stop fighting ... and despite how crazy they make me, below if my
reminder quote :-)
So, that's all I have to say for myself ... besides a stress headache, I'm fine 'n dandy.
Children need love, especially when they do not deserve it.

  1. Ahh. The kids arguing! Seems like it wouldn't be childhood without it. Glad you had some "productivity to your weekend." I am still hard at it moving boxes, as well.
