I wore stripes with witches shoes ... and a denim shirt to work

I am not wild about this outfit despite Courts, Schatz and Felicia all commenting that they like it, I just don’t feel totally right in it.  Not sure and I can’t quite put my finger on it … but then I think, maybe it looks better ‘in person’ than in the photos.
Skirt : Truworths | Shirt & Belt : Chinese store | Shoes : Fashion World
I bought these shoes as the ridiculous price of R99.99 last week at Fashion World … I simply could not resist.  I’m picturing them more with a charcoal grey suit with a peplum and a lacy top.  They called me from the window and I had to go in and look at them and when I saw the price, which initially said R159.99, I had to take them (I also considered the black pair) and oh joy, when the sales lady rang it up, they were marked down to R99.99 – I do so love a bargain and even more so on shoes because I’m rough on shoes so I don’t spend huge wads of cash on them.  I like the vintage look of them with the laces and the cap.
I’ve still not been planning my outfits well in advance so I’m throwing ideas together in the morning and hoping for the best in the limited time I set myself for dressing.
The workshop called and said that their mechanic promises that the knocking sound in my car is gone.  They’ve replaced the shocks and shock mounts and I am hoping that it is now sorted.  So irritating to have this knock knock sound when driving.   Also this afternoon my hairdresser is coming round to trim and colour my hair and cut Jarod’s hair.  I absolutely love getting my hair cut and get so excited – only pity is that I won’t be getting the head massage with the wash.
Hope your Tuesday is fabulous.

High-low dress

Despite not liking my other 'high-low' hemmed dress very much, I really like this one.  I saw it at Mr. Price about two weekends back and picked it up and put it down twice before deciding to 'go for it'.  This past weekend I saw a lady wearing it in a shoe store and really liked how it looked, which alleviated some of my uncertainties about purchasing it.
Schatz would prefer it if it were sideways though.  All in all, this is a really cheap outfit.  The dress cost R99, the jacket (bought circa 2007) R120.00 and the shoes were all of R110 (circas 2010/09).  The necklace was a birthday present two years back from my sister Lynn.

Shane came round this afternoon to look at the photos and seems really pleased with them.  I'm busy converting them at the moment and then need to finish processing/cropping/adjusting them.  I'll share a few more once I'm done.

I hope your Tuesday was awesome ... say Hi and I'll catch up again soon.

Country style blazer

I bought this blazer the weekend I met my friend for breakfast.  I'd seen it at Edgars previously and felt that the asking price of R499- was a little high.  Of course, I was thrilled when I saw it marked down to R299- and snapped it up.  This one will be around for a while.

Visible Monday : Stripes 'n Red

I'm linking up to Visible Monday over at Patti who is the fabulous stylish lady at 'Not Dead Yet Style' and boy, she's showing us all that she is nowhere near Dead yet.

Skirt and T-shirt : Truworths
Belt : Woolworth
Shoes : Rage
Bangles : Edgars & Mr. Price

I love stripes.  In all shades, sizes and colours, I think they're so gorgeous and sassy and then a little red of course just makes me growl.

Add red, white and navy and you really have a stunning combination.

If there's any one item in this getup that I love, it has to be my shoes.  I adore them and they definitely make me feel ueber visible.  From the back they're almost black but from the front they're red.
