Woolworths boy fit jeans

I took Jarod off to the podiatrist this morning as he has complained every other day about his foot being sore.  In 2009 we took him to see the podiatrist after going shoe shopping and noticing that his feet were totally flat - he had no arches.  He'd trip and loose his balance often and we thought it was an attention ploy/being inattentive (boy were we wrong) but then realised that he actually could not help it.  His feet are so much better, but his calves and Achilles tendons are very tight and he needs to ice them 3 x daily and rub Voltaren gel on 3 x daily and do stretching exercises, which he's just not done.

I wore these boy fit jeans from Woolworths -  they call them 'boy fit' not 'boyfriend'.  I need to say that I'm not used to wearing such loose jeans, but dang they are so comfortable (I also got them on the Woolies sale for about R100.00).   I pained over the decision to buy them and I'm still not sure they're the best look on me, but I'll live with that since they're so comfortable.  (Being pair shaped, I always hear we should wear bootleg cut jeans)   They're a little wider down the leg than I'd have like, but I couldn't turn them down when I saw the price - I love a good Sale price especially from stores like Woolworths and Truworths.

It was fairly chilly this morning with it looking like it was going to pour down with rain, so I choose to wear this cable knit from Pick 'n Pay.  Its an acrylic/nylon mix so it's not super warm.  I worn an old white short sleeved top underneath and my black slippers from Woolworths.

The cute peacock pendant is from my daughter Taryn - and although she told me where it comes from, I don't remember ;-).

This is a really casual 'mom-on-the-Saturday-morning-run' look and I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Hope you're having an awesome weekend!

  1. I like the outfit ~ the jeans are super cute on you and I love the jersey and the pendant is gorgeous (just like the girl who gave it to you!).

Jarod must really look after himself now so when he gets a bit older he doesn't battle even more.

  2. Love the look. I love boyfriend-style jeans for comfort (I'm also a pear)- Next have some nice 'relaxed' type style jeans over here. I have some tapered as well as bootcut.
The jeans look nice on you. M

  4. I am just getting into all jeans not skinny and it's taking a while to feel comfortable in them.
