I met my 'oldest' friend for breakfast today. It's been more than three years since I last saw her... how do our lives get so busy that it takes three years to see someone who lives less that 30 kms away??
We had a quick catch-up over breakfast and I needed to pay my Edgars account so we walked to Edgars and did a little browsing (and shopping) and then she headed off home to see her daughter and I browsed through the stores making my way to my car.
I bought a pair of black boots, trimmed with tan and a tweed style jacket that was on sale at Edgars. I've looked at both items a few times and left them, but today at almost 50% off I had to bring them home and since they're both quite classic, they'll last a good few seasons.
I spent the afternoon sorting through bills and am now clearing out junk on my laptop as it's really full. Little Bobbi is on my lap purring and snuggling ... bliss.
Schatz and I have agreed (although I'm not overly enthused about it) to help marshall the Frozen Butt Run from East Rand Mall to Midrand this evening. It looks set to be a rather cold evening and I'm so out of the whole thing as I have not marshalled in more than three years and I have made itclear though that if any rain falls from the heavens before its time to leave, I will be staying home with the four legged children.
Well, let me get on down the stairs and start the dinner as I really can't handle the cold when I'm hungry ... hope your weekend is treating you well ... and as a side note ... I'm totally smitten with my new Galaxy S3 phone ... luv luv luving it.
I hope to be able to update this post with a photo later ... or tomorrow.
Keep warm ... or cool :-)
You are too cold...I'm too hot...(we have had 100 + temperature for about a week now)...either way these temperature extremes are not fun, are they?
