Monday stuff

Details
Skirt and blazer : Truworths
Shoes : Legit
Shirt : Contempo

I had a beautiful dress in the same shade as this blazer many years ago, pre children, which I bought to wear to my eldest sisters friends wedding.

It had a gorgeous pattern creased into it.  A friend asked to wear it to an event and when it was finally returned to me, the ‘pattern’ was ironed out of it.

I have no idea why I this memory popped into my head, but there it is.
Of course, I don’t easily like to let others use my clothing – some people say I’m stingy and selfish – personally, I don’t really give a damn what they think ;-).
Do you allow friends and family to wear your clothing?
Have you had an experience where something you really liked was ruined by someone else?

This outfit as the heading suggests, was in fact Monday’s outfit, but I did not get around to posting it.  I think I’ve been wearing a lot of black on Mondays again (need to check and see if that’s correct).

Looking at the pictures now, I wonder if I should have tucked the shirt in?  Or if I should have worn a belt, but it looks as though it needed a little something – what do you think?  At least my hair looked pretty fab on Monday.  My haircut has grown out really great.  It’s still so neat and tidy and it’s been about 8+ weeks now.

Tonight is our monthly Sisters dinner and we’re trying out a new place that Graeme and I discovered on Sunday.  Taj Indian Restaurant in Brackenhurst.  I’m rather looking forward to a good curry, maybe it’ll  zap this cold that started this morning.

Hopefully there’ll be some nice pics to share and good reviews of the food.

‘Til next time … keep it Sassy

  1. I love the bright pop of color over the polka dots!
I use to trade clothing a lot in junior high but had one particular friend that ruined everything. I don't know how she did it, but often they'd get returned ripped up.
Sometimes my daughter borrows things and I always have to drive over and get it back myself. I have to say it bothers me until I get it back too.

  2. I don't share my clothes either, Wendy. I don't ask to borrow others clothes either. I would feel terrible if I damaged someone's clothes.

I have an intimate relationship with my clothes! I've spent a long time trying to build a wardrobe that makes me feel good.

We are not selfish. We just like to take care of what we have!

  4. I'm so far behind in my blog reader (duh, right?) but you look lovely as always. Love the bright pink blazer.

I let The Teen borrow a dress or shoes sometimes, but was traumatized in my teens when I allowed my younger sister to wear my "in" white painter's pants - and she sat down with a blue ball point pin in her back pocket. Yeah.

  5. I'm funny about lending clothes (and books!). Would annoy me hugely if something came back spoiled.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment - I love hearing others feelings and appreciate your time. Please be honest - BUT kind.

Have a fabulous day now and I'll be coming round to visit you as soon as I can.

Thanks again, Wendy
