Mz T - come home

...  then you can do a 'store' organise of my closet - you so cheeky and I love you.

So today, I was invited to an old neighbour/friends 40th birthday brunch.  Lauren and I met when our daughters Courteney/Courteney were about 3 years old.  She moved in next door and I guess in some ways we're a rather unlikely pair - but we've stayed in contact all these years.

So it was great to finally get to visit and see their new home (although they moved three years ago!) and to celebrate with Lauren.

It was an interesting mix of people all of whom, excepting for her hubbies parents and her mother, were new to me.  Graeme just stopped in for a few minutes then left to go to do a TB Marshall something or other.

The outfit - my weekend fave of skinny jeans ... I've been looking for a flat pair of black boots, much like these brown ones I'm wearing but have not yet found a pair, so the brown had to do, although I think black would have looked more 'finished'.

Details : Jeans, Waistcoat and boots - Woolworths | Floral bow shirt - Truworths | My fave bracelet from Mz T|

Now I need to finish off dinner, look through my closet for something to wear tomorrow and then after dinner and my shower, I need to read over some of my study notes for my exam next week.  Yip - can you believe it, finally at the age of almost 45 I'm finishing my matric (high school diploma I think you'd call it in the USA) ... someone asked previously what I'm studying and well, I'm finishing it at last.  I did three subjects way back in 1995 and then had three babies, moved to Germany and now decided it was time to finish what I started.  Wish I could say it were something exciting and exotic like an MBA or LLB or something flash ... lol ... but, better late than never.

Be warm, be stylish, be fabulous :-)

  1. I really love that blouse - is it current at Truworths?

Like the look - casual but sassy.

Have you looked at Woolies? I bought a pair of flat black knee high black boots there a couple weeks ago - the only thing is that they are not leather, but i love them.

Good on you for studying xx

  3. The important thing about education is learning. Not the degree but the self-improvement. I applaud your efforts.

  6. Shayne - I bought the shirt a couple months back and vaguely remember seeing it still in store about a month back - I've been staying away from Truworths because I have very low willpower not to buy when I go in there. I'll have a look next time I get to woolies at the mall;-)

    Lynette - thanks so much.

Ally - I agree. It's also good to be finishing something that's been a thorn in my side since 1985! lol. One of my collegues asked me what I'm signing up for next year?!

    Natalie - thanks sweetie.

Lyddie - thanks for the comment. I really did enjoy this outfit :-)
