World Cup Craziness

So many South African bloggers commented on the Vuvuzela.  Shew, it's interesting and irritating and I despise them.  The incessant drone they make just grates me!  As someone said to me last week which echoed a previous comment of my own ... "I'd like to find the person who invented it and shove it where the sun don't shine"!.

All feelings aside, I have been wowed by how our nation sent Bafana Bafana off to battle the Mexicans.  I'm impressed by the amount of flags I see around the city of Johannesburg.  We do know how to stand together, irrespective of our differences and celebrate our victories.

These are the moments, few and far between, that make me proud to be a South African ... just don't let me hit News 24 for the next day or two ... allow me to wallow in this feeling of togetherness, patriotism - it won't last for long!

  1. I love the Vuvuu-spirit at the moment! ;-) I think we must ride on it as long as possible...

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment - I love hearing others feelings and appreciate your time. Please be honest - BUT kind.

Have a fabulous day now and I'll be coming round to visit you as soon as I can.

Thanks again, Wendy
