... and I'm all of 47 fantastic years young and one day and counting down to 48!!
My Schatz brought home gorgeous flowers for me Tuesday night and Lindt chocolate balls (my faves) as he'd bought me Prophoto for my birthday and I got that more than a month ago, so I've already been spoilt way ahead of time, but he did make me feel so special.
I woke to messages from special friends, phone calls, Whatsapp messages and sms'. Makes me feel warm and tingly inside. Its always wonderful when you get an expected wish from a friend you've lost contact with and people from your distant past who say 'miss you' and you know that they mean it and still love you (the you of then and the you of now).
My day was rather busy with taking my nephew to the tailor, dropping him and school, some emails and web work and then the dash to collect my son and nephew. Jarod then took me to Wakaberry as a birthday treat. Connor and Liam went with and the boys all overdosed on sugars. Its an interesting concept, but I much prefer Marcels frozen yoghurt.
My sisters came over for dinner and it was fun. Lynn was so sweet and washed all the dishes and made sure my kitchen was kitchen. I got lovely gifts and money towards a photography item - which I'm a little undecided what its going to be ... since Schatz bought the Prophoto for me, I'm now debating between a backdrop and a one day course on studio lighting. Shall mull it over for a while yet.
I got lots of sweet stuff (going to have to watch the waistline), socks, chocolates, a jar of sweeties, a bracelet, coffee, silver dishing tongs, a scarf, soy candle, nail buffer, bath salts, money money money, popcorn and biscuits. Truly so spoilt and loved.
My outfit came together around the trousers I had bought with my birthday money from Liam, my youngest. He was so impressed that I got a pair of pants and a dress for R200.00. Bargains delight. I also added the gorgeous necklace that Taryn made me for my birthday around 2007/2008 when she was beading. She made it at the beading course she attended and I have to say, its one of my all time favourite pieces and of course, of super sentimental value.

Forty Seven and feeling Fabulous (Jazz walked by as I was writing this post and said 'like that photo of you Mom').
I had forgotten about this neon yellow tank top Schatz had bought me.

Now life goes on and I have lots of little jobs to do today. I already planted the last of the pansies I bought a while back but I do need to prune my Fuchsias and sadly, it looks like I've lost a few over the winter, however, my pigmy Incas are looking fabulous and already blooming. Loving the look of Spring in my garden.
Happy birthday my friend. I am so glad that it was a good one.
