... and so we say goodbye again

My gorgeous gal and I at the airport ... pre departure

I am not ready for my child/young adult to fly back to her new world .... I wanted to be selfish and stamp and howl and say "don't go"... but there are opportunities there that I don't believe our country can offer her, so I swallow down the words and trust God to tuck her under His wings and keep her safe for me.

We all sobbed as we watched her go through passport control until we could see her no more .. we had each other to cling to .... she was so alone... Liam snuck into her bed last night to keep her close ....  our house has a gaping hole in it now.

  1. I've had many of those moments when son worked in S. Korea. Saying goodbye at the airport was gut wrenching...every time. He's here now and all is well.
I'm sorry you're going thru that now. I know how empty your heart can feel. She has to spread her wings and mom has to let her go. Hugs to you!

  2. And our hearts have a gaping hole as well ... It was wonderful to see her and very sad to know that although she has so many opportunities all that way across the ocean that she is also alone ~ She is a young lady you can be so very proud of.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment - I love hearing others feelings and appreciate your time. Please be honest - BUT kind.

Have a fabulous day now and I'll be coming round to visit you as soon as I can.

Thanks again, Wendy
