This is my first time linking up to What I wore Wednesday over at The Pleated Poppy.
As I've said whenever I've worn this skirt, I l.o.v.e. my denim skirt. It's not 'thick' denim and its a lovely feminine cut and style, with little ruffles at the back. I have another denim skirt, but it feels like I'm trying to make a box fit my curves. The waist is huge and it feels so box-like around me that I only wore it about three times and then gave up on it completely.
This morning when I got up, I really had no idea what I was going to wear and thought I'd grab the first mag next to my bed for some inspiration. It was the Edgars (local South African clothing store) mag and they had a feature about blazers and how to style them, which totally inspired my look. Although my jacket is more of a tuxedo style jacket.
Skirt : Express
T-shirt : contempo
Jacket : Mr Price
Shoes : Truworths
Scarf : Don't remember
Somedays, I so wish I had a stylist to my outfit together, a hairdress to do my locks and a makeup artist to make to look divine.
Thanks for visiting and please come again.
I feel you on the boxy-ness of other denim skirts. I have a few that I don't wear often because I don't know how to style them. The waistband is so thick it sticks out under form-fitting tops, I feel weird tucking things in, ahhh! So, I just don't wear them.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this skirt looks great on you!
Love the skirt! And do pop over to my blog
ReplyDeleteHi how are you?
ReplyDeleteI was looking through your blog, and I found it interesting, and inspiring to me, so I thought why not post a comment.
I have blogs also obviously, and would like to invite you to become my blog friend.
I mostly post about the California experience through the perspective of personal writings, and my art.
Maybe you can become my friend, and follow, and I can also follow you, if that is okay.
Well I hope to hear from you soon… :)

You look wonderful! (as usual;-)
ReplyDeleteI am still looking for the perfect denim skirt.
Tequilla is a nice accessory in your photo! Wonderful that you had the Edgars inspiration when you were stuck.
