  1. Wow! Your blog looks so festive!

Even though we both speak English, there are some words in both of our languages that don't cross over. I've never heard of "courts" before -- what are they?

And speaking of languages, my friend went to work over in England where they call pants "trousers". What they call "pants" are actually underwear. He's a biker so he went in a store and asked for "leather pants". The shopkeeper gave him a funny look and said the sex-shops are in a different part of town!

  2. Hi Pam, I saw a pair of shoes today at a store named Luelle here in SA and sigh, my heart goes doef doef - but it's more than I will pay so they have to stay there and live on in my memory. I love elegant shoes.

Hi Ally - rotflol ... I love the differences in the same language - from country to country the words we use to describe things, and even here in SA our Black and Coloured people use different words for things .. skippers and jumpers and for the life of me, I still don't know which is which. A top is a top and it could also be a blouse or a shirt - can't quite decide when to call which which and a jumper is a ... umm ... cardigan or pullover or jersey. All so confusing ... but trousers, pants and slacks are all the same thing ... but I would use trousers more when speaking of mens clothing.

    Thanks for visiting.
