Blogging held in abeyance

Its been a rather unexpected abeyance in my blogging and to my daughter, I apologise.  As I said to her last night, I've felt a little off the last few days and simply could not mustre the enthusiasm for my blog, much less photographing my outfits.

For catching up purposes :
  • The children finally left on Tuesday the 13th December and arrived safely in Houston on the 14th.
  • I can't believe they've been for a week already.
  • Our 'truck' was broken into at the airport and G-mans laptop stolen.  This led to him taking the week off as he's unable to do any work until his company replaces it.
  • We finally did a breakfast run on Sunday - we have not ridden together in absolute ages and it was fun, but we were both exhausted when we got home ... not sure if it's just bike-unfit or our ages catching up ... lol.
  • We had our sisters dinner last Wednesday and it was so fun.  We exchanged Christmas gifts and also celebrated Norma's birthday which was on Thursday.
  • I got royally spoilt with a gorgeous Willow Tree Angel from Noleen, a box of divine goodies from scrapbooking paper to a little 'Families are forever' sign from Norma and a box filled with more fattening goodies from Lynn.
  • Friday G-man and I headed to pick up a kettle he'd bought and ended up adding on a new vacuum cleaning and then headed off to the computer store and he bought me a new screen as my Christmas gift, as I've been battling a little with just the screen on the laptop.
  • Since being on leave, G-man has replaced my tree fern, bought two trees for the huge pots that stand on our patio, replaced two shelves in the display cabinet with glass, varnished a new fascia board for the garage, cut down the cabbage tree that was growing through the lemon tree ... and now I can't remember what else ... but he's been a very busy and productive boy ;-)
  • Tomorrow is our last work day in my office for the year, but if truth be told, most of us have not done much of anything this week.
Well, I'm off again now ... going to continue tidying my office, I like to finish off the year with a little declutter and tidy up so that when I come back in January its ready to roll.

Hope your day is awesome and that you're enjoying the pre Christmas days.

  1. It is so sad that we cannot leave anything in our cars anymore...anywhere! I am always aware of this, because it happens so often and so quickly where I live. I hope you are able to slow down and enjoy the season some!

  2. Sorry about the bad news. And this time of year is always exhausting. I expected and am now seeing a dramatic decrease in blogging activity among all the people I follow. Nothing unusual about that.

Get some rest. Enjoy the holidays. Hang in there. We love you!
