I received the Parisian Chic book by Ines de la Fressange and have been so enjoying it. Today, flipping through while waiting for part of my mini weekly facial to dry, I found the following on page 123 under Section 3. Timeless Beauty.
For lifelong beauty :À Be well-groomed
À Smell nice
À Look after your teeth. Have them professionally cleaned every six months
À Smile
À Be indulgent
À Be nonchalant and forget your age
À Be cooler and more easy going
À Be less selfish
À Be passionate about a man, a project, a house. It’s an instant facelift.
À Do only what suits you. The perfect Zen attitude.
À Accept that there will be bad days. And make the most of the good days!
Then on the next page, to sum up simple pleasures :
Memo : An hour sleeping or making love is better than a Botox injection at the dermatologists
… (I like this)
I LOVE this! Especially the part of forgetting your age!
ReplyDeleteSome sound advice. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, if you really like me, you'll dig out those pictures of you from the Eighties and show them to me. :) My delight in seeing you in earlier fashion would be endless.
Wonderful advice. I am saving this post and reading it again tomorrow, and the day after!!
