Lets stop beating ourselves up

Read this post, no shit, on whatever, etc. if you are suffering from 'no being able to get clothes that fit correctly' syndrom.

Some part of all us knows that not every celebrity is so perfectly proportioned that their off the rack clothes would fit like a glove, yet we do get depressed and downheartened by not being able to walk into the store and walk out with an item that fits as though it were hand made for us.

Now, it's time to find myself a reliable, talented and affordable tailor/seamstress I do believe.

Be Fabulous, be You ... don't beat yourself up - you are perfect just the way you are.

  1. Aha! The secret!

Actually, it isn't so much a secret as it is a blind-spot the rest of us have when we blame our bodies for our appearance instead of realizing that a skilled professional could improve the fit of our clothing. The few times I have had something tailored, the effect was dramatic.

Thanks for reminding us of this. It's good to keep in mind when falling off the edge of sanity.

  2. Thanks for this. I always leave the shops feeling miz about how things fit - I just need to remember that a tailor can solve all my problems!

Apart from my tummy that is ;)

  3. Yes, this is something I'm slowly learning. And I realize deep down that if I shopped less I'd have more money for altering the clothes I already own to look and fit me better. It's such a simple concept, isn't it? (Now if only I could find a reliable and talented tailor myself!)

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment - I love hearing others feelings and appreciate your time. Please be honest - BUT kind.

Have a fabulous day now and I'll be coming round to visit you as soon as I can.

Thanks again, Wendy
