Vintage inspired peplum

I purchased this black peplum top with the crochet collar in December on my Christmas Shopping expedition for Schatzies gift (shhhhh I wasn't supposed to be shopping for myself, I know I know) ... of course, having had peplums on my mind for months, when I saw this, I simply could not pass it up ... I'd have loved it if it had sleeves, but the collar totally had me at hello.

I've waited almost a month to wear it ... I've had lots of ideas, but this morning it simply had to be worn and since I was not feeling up to anything tight, these trousers made the pick.

With the crochet collar detail, I choose not to wear a necklace and instead wore the ring which we're referring to as a 'knuckle duster' in the office due to its enormous size ... and the earrings with the same colour stone that match my trousers so well.

These trousers have a few appearances here, here and here and I do so enjoy their lightweight material ... perfect summer trousers .. not sure how many more wears I'll get out of them as the mornings are turning really cold here and there's been a light blanket of mist for the past few mornings ... autumn is slowing heading our way by the looks of things and the surprise of seeing Cosmos on our trip out to the Canopy Tour leaves some confusion in my mind.

Well friends, thats my story for this fine Tuesday ... do drop me a note and say Hi before you head on out.

Black and Red - Inspired

Women apparel
source : Fashion Worship

Cami : Woolworths
Shirt : Kelso @ Edgars
Capris : Woolworths
Shoes : Urban Zone
Bracelets : Gifts from Taryn
Necklace : Fashion World
Ring : Truworths

I chose an animal print necklace in place of the scarf and heels as opposed to flats.

If I looks as though I'm half asleep in the photo (admittedly sans mascara and lipstick), its simply because I am.  I woke up so tired this morning and truly had a mission getting my a.in.g.  But you have to give both Courteney and I credit for taking the photo while it was in fact drizzling.  We woke to great big grey clouds hanging about and from what the weatherman predicts, we won't be seeing the sun at all today.  If it were just a little cooler I'd call it soup weather.

We don't have much planned for the weekend and its certainly not looking as thought we'll be spending time outdoors, so I'll need to find some way to keep the troupe busy.  Any parents in the Jo'burg area with ideas of outings for young teens aged 16, 14 and a tween aged 12, I'm looking for inspiration that does not cost an arm and a leg.

Have a great day now and a stunning weekend.
