Dotty wild days

I did not photograph yesterdays outfit nor todays - but todays was ueber casual jeans and a shirt since I was having my hair done.  It's really dark and I think the new style is a welcome change - but not too drastic.  I'll do pics of that tomorrow.  I must admit, I have a serious weakness for red shoes and especially these one's.  I have a another pair the same but in grey.

A little on the wild side

I absolutely fell in love with this top when I spied it in Foschini a couple months ago but this is only the second time I've worn it.

Can you believe it?  I've spent no money on clothing, shoes or accessories this past month.  I had such a rough month with all the holidays and being a contractor means now work, no pay.   My budget took a serious beating.  This will be another rather tight month as I do some catching up - but I'll be doing my best to keep my shopping under control for at least another month or two.  I do believe I have enough clothing and will only need some pantihose/tights.  As much as I'm lusting after a pair of flat black boots, they'll have to wait.  I also held off on my usual craziness of magazine purchases, especially since I really should have studied my school work instead of the fashion pages ;-). 

The nails need to be done, the outfit needs to be pulled out and some reading of my study notes needs to get done and it's past 9pm ... hope y'all had a stunning day.  One more day then it's weekend.

Catch up

So Monday, as you may have read, we said goodbye to our blue-eyed girl and I had class.  Then Tuesday, I got a migraine in the afternoon and by the time dinner was done, my head was 'outta the game' - the reason for now updates.  Today - I'm doing good ... and here's the weeks roundup.

One day I'll get brave and make the space and really jump, or something ...

Yesterdays outfit I was told by one of the guys at work looked like Betty Boo and today, another guy said I looked pregnant, he really didn't like this look on me.  The tea ladies said it looked good, as did Courts, Felicia and G-man.  What do you think?

Finally there was sunshine today, which causes a tailspin in me because when it's been overcast and gray for a few days, bright sunshine can cause major migraines for me, but it was so great to see blue skies for a change.

I had a fairly emotional day today.  My sister is quite distraught by her sons departure to New Zealand tomorrow evening and two of my collegues confided so emotional issues in their private lives and I find it overwhelmingly sad.  I feel priviledged though that they share these things with me.

Now I need to high tail out of here and start packing for the weekend as our bag is going down in the bus so we don't need to put the panniers on the bike.

February 23rd - a little bit wild

Oh no, I think there's a part of me that is way too conscientious to be completely wild, but this skirt is a little 'animal'.

 Looking a little worse for wear in the picture above and just a tad sombre, so I attempted to liven things up in the picture below ... how did I do?

 The lighting is perfect - just a pity I could not move a little further over.  Too much sunlight on me ... but what do you think of our self imposed prison bars?  It saddens me.

D-details :  Skirt from Woolworths (at least 2007), T-shirt - OBR, Cardigan - Truworths, Shoes - hmmmm I think Truworths as well.  Necklace and earrings also Truworths.

I am getting to the 'desperate' stage for a haircut but am putting it off and not entirely sure why.  I've pretty much made up my mind just to get the back neatened into one lenght for the time being and I need to get this done soon as I'm starting to sport a few split ends.  Not bad considering I last trimmed it in November.
