Coral trousers and lace printed t-shirt

Firstly – to all my American friends and ‘family’ my condolences on the horrific attack in Boston.

Praying that everyone finds comfort and that those you love and hold dear and close are safe.

It’s Terrific Tuesday – and I thought I best wear these coral trousers as I don’t know how many more wears I’ll get in before our cold weather arrives.  They’re just a little too thin to wear when the cold arrives.  I had seen this t-shirt on Jean of Extra Petite and immediately emailed Taryn and asked her to try and find it for me.  I was so thrilled when she let me know that she had found it and I have worn it many times.  I absolutely adore the lace detail imprinted in the shirt.

My outfit today is very similar to the one Jean is wearing above

I don’t wear a necklace when I wear this t-shirt as I think it would detract from the detail of the pattern.

I initially had only a blue belt with my blue and leopard print shoes – but really could not decide if I liked it or not.

So I choose to play it safe and swapped for the leopard print kitten heels and belt.

Teal shirt and the Monday manicure

I am a day behind and I did not even photographs of yesterday's look.   But on Sunday I did paint my nails and toenails ... and I have not even worn sandals yet.

(oops about the blurry photo but my Schatzie has bad morning shakes and with it being school holidays, my usual photographer was still snuggled under her blankies when these pics were being taken)

This shirt was a sale find at Legit some months back (this is the first time I've worn it) and with it being a little cooler today I thought it high time I showed it off.   I love the detail over the shoulders but I forgot to photograph it. However,  it is a little visible at the top.

Some days simply ask for 'simplicity'.  I find it's most often when I've had an interrupted sleep or when I'm simply not too thrilled with the world or have not planned an outfit.  This morning at around 1:45 G-man called the cat who was lying right next to me and decided he'd reply with a loud meow which woke me up.  Broken sleep just doesn't do me any good and along the wind that was howling like crazy I ended up wide awake for a good half hour.  The wind is howling again this evening, but hopefully the cats won't be meowing.

So, although I have not updated on Miss Beans birthday and our outing to the Photo and Film expo this weekend, I'm just too tired to string intelligent sentences together, so I'm going to head out and do an update tomorrow ... will share a pic of the Miss 15 as well.

January 3rd - return to work

It's back to the salt mines for me, but I am taking Wednesday through Friday off to spend with my dd who is visiting from the USA.

Today's outfits is all from Truworths (except the jewellery which Taryn sent to me in September from the USA) ... even down to the undies ... lol.

Courteney and I were in there late last year and bought this outfit ... it was fun to go shopping with her for a complete outfit.  I've wanted 'narrow' pants and 'nude' shoes for a few months and decided it was time.  However, the shoes are about 1cm too high, but I managed.

I don't usually wear sleevless tops to work, but since I knew that we are still operating on minimal staff, I dared it.  I'd usually wear a little cardigan or jacket over it.

9 November - Tuesday

These photos, as usual, were done 'quick-quick' ... it was also weigh in day at Weigh-less.

Almost 1 kg lost in the first week ... slow and steady wins the race.

November 4 - Thumping Thursday

... thumping? how can a day be thumping, what about thunderous (we did have gorgeous rain)  ... must be the time of night, I'm feeling a little brain-drained.

But here's todays outfit ... pics are a little blurred and feature more action, that being the reason they're more blurred than usual.  One day I will figure out how to get my 'big' camera to work on timer, or I think it may just be time to buy a remote release.

Can't believe it's almost Friday and sadly, the Guy Fawkes and Diwali fireworks are already starting - our dogs are going to be totally freaked out by Saturday.

Tomorrow evening, the kids have all been farmed out to friends as G-man and I are attending my nephews engagement dinner ... not sure what I am going to wear as yet.

So when I looked at the photo above, I tried with smiling in this one.

The outfit was chosen by my dd and I don't think, despite having worn the top twice now, that I'm wild about it.  All in all a very mediocre look, I think.

 

But I do so love the cut-out design in the material.

October 13th - a lil bland

I got struck down with a migraine last night and it tends to leave me grumpy and disinterested.  Therefore, little effort was put into the outfit last night and when I looked out the window this morning and it looked like rain, I decided against wearing a skirt.
