Rebuilding a basic wardrobe takes time. I think a pencil skirt in almost every colour of the rainbow, especially the colours that work for you is always a good thing. I'm getting there, slowly. I am also still hunting for a red blazer, but I have considered dying one that I have that turned from an off white to an odd shade of green. I think that's something to add to my 'To do' list.
Skirt : Miladys
T-shirt : Loft (thanks to Miz T)
Shoes : Edgars
Bag : not even sure, it used to be mine, I must have given it to my sister and yesterday it made its way back ... I am so chuffed because it's lovely.
Bangles : Edgars & Mr Price
I think the skirt is a work appropriate length. I would not have minded it being an inch or two shorter, but it would also be difficult to shorten it as it has pleats in the back. But I adore the colour. I do need to have the waist nipped a little as it is, as per usual, a little large. I have not bought a pencil skirt from Miladys before, and this size was a lot more generous over the hips than the usual brand I buy from Truworths and I'm quite happy about that. I may be visiting them more often and think I may try a size smaller next time.
Yummy skirt. The color is exciting. I'm equally attracted to the straight, flat surface it creates on your front, which seems tantalizingly feminine. I'm not describing this well but it's a look I want to imitate. You achieve the look of attractive femininity I long for.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's funny you're talking on the phone in the first picture and holding the phone in your hand in the second one. I just you're such a busy person you need to combine blog-photoshoots with phone conversations. :)
LOVE the skirt, but then I love pencil skirts, they are so flattering. However, I do agree with you on the length and think a an inch or two shorter would be better. Cute peep toe heels! :-)
